Born on September 5 in Augusta, Georgia, Captain Haynes carries a legacy of service and leadership. She is the daughter of the late Reverend Willie C. Haynes, Sr., the beloved pastor and founder of New Vision Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia, Georgia. Raised in a family rooted in faith and community, Susanna grew up with a deep sense of calling and responsibility—values she has upheld throughout her life and career.
With nearly 16 years of ministry experience, Captain Haynes is a licensed and ordained minister whose voice and vision have touched lives across the globe. Her passion for sharing the Gospel took her to South Korea, where she served as a missionary for three years, ministering to diverse communities and building bridges of hope and compassion.
Captain Haynes was spiritually nurtured and profoundly influenced by the late Bishop James H. Morton, Sr., her pastor and personal mentor, who was called home to be with the Lord in 2023. She faithfully sat under his leadership for 17 years, and credits his wisdom, anointing, and example as instrumental in shaping her spiritual walk and deepening her commitment to ministry and service.
Academically accomplished, Captain Haynes earned a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University, one of the nation’s most respected theological institutions. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia Southern University and an Associate degree in English, combining her love for communication, storytelling, and truth.
